This weekend "El Duo Mas Romantico" had their photoshoot for their very anticipated album, The Royalty. (You can see these pics here)They gave a little more info about their cd. They set an official released date set to be Tuesday, August 12, 2008.They said their featurings would include Ivy Queen, Don Omar, and Plan B.
The song with Plan B is set to be their next single and should be released in the near future. Realizing that the genre is heading to a more "electronic" style who better to do a song with than Plan B, Chencho Y Maldy. The song will be called "Tuve Un SueƱo" and in it the duos will be singing about a dream in which they found true love.
They also will include in their new album some Vallenatos, Cumbia, Bachata, Balada, R&B and Instrumentals. This is due to the popular genre's "stemming" out if you will, into other genre's to help the genre itself grow even more.
Ken-Y said that since 2006 they have learned a lot in this field and have managed to become even greater artists than they already are. He believes that they have managed to surpass the incredible feats of their first album "Masterpiece".
They also revealed the names of two more songs composed by Wise, a well-known composer, who wrote the smash-hit, "Down". Apart from "Te Amare" Wise also wrote "Presiento" y "Te Regalo Amores" for the duo's new album.
Ken-Y also revealed the baladas "Enamorado Por Primera Vez" & "No Tengo Nada" which will take after Ken-Y's style of singing about young men losing a loved one.
RKM added that in this album he will be more "suelto" and less "timido". He promises to the girls that went crazy for the first album will once again go crazy and fall for The Royalty.
Raphy Pina talked about the artists that don't evolve with the genre of reggaeton, quickly disappear. His duo is just simply going with the flow and showing that they deserve to be at the top along with the other famous artists in this still growing genre of reggaeton.
In December, Raphy Pina will present "La Realeza" live in "El Choliseo". Expect that show to be sold out completely.
I dont know about you. But this album is on my top list of albums that I am most looking forward to.
And a special congratulations to our "Boss" for his graduation. And also a special congrats to the other grads of the Class of '08 from me. :)
